Soon after I found D. L. Hughley breaking bad, I turned to my bookshelf for a quote or phrase to add. I randomly selected the top book, which turned out to be The Lord of Love as relayed by C. Alan Ames. I randomly opened the book and it read:
To be a man…love
To be a man…care
To be a man..be kind
Then truly be a man.
Reference: Psalm 62:13: Power belongs to God, so too Lord, does kindness.
Hmmm. That was very cool.
So I tried it again with Google. Typed in “what a kind word will do” and the following is what appeared at the top of the rankings. I simply cannot improve upon either of them.
Posted on Self Help Daily, the full article may be found here and is well worth reading. It is entitled You Never Know What a Kind Word Will Do . Here is a portion:
You, literally, just never know what a few kind words will mean to another person. Your words could replace a tear in their eye with a smile on their face. You could make them laugh out loud and treat them to a sound they hadn’t heard in a while – the sound of their own laughter. You could give them that special spark they needed to keep going when they weren’t sure they could. Your words could be the very thing they needed at that moment.
Put another way: They could mean the world.
